Nope, that's just what the "community" guessed. I didn't hear anyone from POE actually say that.

They must be confident that it will not conflict with the 1.4 patch then . Maybe running it with the last beta was enough to convince them .

POE2 musn't be based on 1.3 though due to the server crashes. Maybe it's an older server build seeing as most of the recent patches have been gameplay fixes rather than server ones (though I remember there being a linux server fix recently).

Just played it and I'm very impressed.

Some fantastic ideas like

Losing health if you stray into enemy’s uncappable bases
AA actually works as so do the infantry weapons
Heatseekers on choppers
Double zoom on sniper weapon
Tanks actually have weak points to there rear, one rocket can actually take them out

That’s just a few of the highlights I can recall form my thirty minute jaunt if you haven’t d/loaded this yet well do!! I hope EA are looking at this and saying to themselves this is what the fans REALLY want in there BF games

is the file itself 1gb? If so, im not bothering me hole downloadin it. I played poe1 a handful of times, and operation peackeeper once. 1gb for a mod ill probably never play is a bit much.

Just had a spin of it there and played a few maps. Seems to be very vehicle driven gameplay which is a pity because I think the small arms gameplay is really good.

seriously i dont know the name but there is a small forest map level, infantry only and possible one of the best maps i have ever played on the battlefield series, very atmospheric and tense map. High Grass, loads of trees, very hard to spot enemy players so lots of sneaking around sprinting from tree to tree trying to find a spot to find people. Also Prone is only benefitial at certain points cause of the long grass.

Plenty of WTF moments on that map.

You have to stay in a squad preferably in the middle so you get some idea where the other guys are when your squad mates get shot 1st

there's another infantry only map called Orel. Just played on it...not as exciting as Fallen. But almost as good. its a mixture of forest/town terrain...

anyone have a download link that actually works? tried downloading from filefront and it crapped out after 500mb and gamers network after 36mb.

the one i tried yesterday went mad fast...i'll try and find it.

its one of the mirrors in the other thread (not hyperion.) I was finished downloading in about 40 minutes (which for a gig is pretty impressive)

its picking up a bit, up to 130kb/sec. using the BitTorrent manager. I thought you're download speed was lmited by your upload speed. dont use torrents that much :rolleyes:

The download speed isn't limited by your upload speed as such but if you do limit your upload speed then you'll probably affect your d/l speed.
