Anything I've bought under 100 dollars I haven't paid any taxes on. Although mine were all shipped via FedEx or USPS. My brother bought an oddessey putter for 60 dollars and paid 70 euros duty on it... shipped via UPS.

Read the descriptions really carefully, and always get a quote for shipping before you bid.

I bought my Titleist irons about this time last year. The total including taxes was 535 euros, to my door. They retailed in the shops at the time for 7-800, so it is definitely worth having a look. On the other hand I had hit the clubs already, and I knew EXACTLY what I was looking for. Which is essential I reckon.

go for it, if you can get the seller to say they are worth less you'll pay less!

I think even allowing for the vat there's some very good value to be had if you look around, id prefer a good second hand set to paying the same for a lesser known new set

if the clubs were marked as a gift would the VAT need to be paid?

shouldn't be, but every second person does this so they are very suspicious and may open and check for invoices etc..

Bought a 2nd hand set of King Cobra irons on monday on Ebay in USA. 70 euro only plus 50 euro for shipping. Arrived this morning which was quite fast plus no duty taxes etc to be paid. Delighted with the clubs, can't believe what good condition they are plus almost new grips on them. For a total of 120 euro this is one of the best purchases i have made.
