    I posted looking for info on how to remove a browser hijacker.

    its called coolwebsearch.

    its still there in the internet options menu even though i now use firefox as my browser.

    i was on a site called spywareinfo.com which told me to download a program called coolwebshredder from intermute.com

    can anyone advise me as to whether this is a site i can trust to download from to get rid of the hijacker.

    as i am using firefox now the hijacker doesnt interfere with me but i still dont want it on my computer
