//If I wasn't feeling so unwell today, I'd've slapped a score on Villa to win 2-1, and Doyle to score first @ 80/1 (PP). Hope it doesn't end up like that now! :(

Ben Thatcher should have been sent off for City, he went for a challenge and clearly raised his elbow and knocked the pompy defender Mendes out.

How in the world did Fletcher score? How are United looking?

  • Moderators, Regional South East Moderators Posts: 9,072 Mod ✭✭✭✭Aquos76

Playing well, considering no Rooney or scholes. We have hammered the post and crossbar 3 times. Plenty of possession. Evra is playing well again. Well impressed with Park's work rate.

It's good to see Fletcher finally emerging, he had a great pre-season, he just needs some goals to get his confidence going.

Let's just pray Boro can hold out now, and let the gap emerge :D

The most promising thing about Uniteds display tonight, and indeed on Sunday was more what they did when they werent in possession. The work rate and effort put it in the last two games far out weighs what they have done in the last couple of seasons.

I still think the squads a bit short but my heart is warmed if they continue with the effort they`ve put in in the last couple of matches.

made a mistake had Charlton at 5/1, had the mboro result at 6/1 so it is 30 they got me , huzzah! Makes up for the linesman screwup to cost me my 3-3 against reading on saturday for boro.

I agree, It's early days yet but the indications are that the tough decisions made by the manager in the last year were the right ones for the club.

United appear to be playing the style of football that one would expect from them. There are still a few areas to be strengthened but they appear to be moving in the right direction.

There is one thing thats helped, Saha's movement, more than what RVN offered.

Good win tonight, sets the tone, even better cos chelsea lost! :D

Last season. Won their first 3 before drawing 1-1 to City iirc.

Good start for Utd. Still some weak points in our play but its very easy to drop points in the first few games of the season. So im grateful for the two wins and a chelsea defeat. If we can keep it going til we get Scholes and Rooney back it will be a great boost.

I nearly cried when Ole scored!
