I would say they are ceramic or whatever they are made from.

I bought the WC last time they were on sale. Made of ceramic and works fine. A bit on the small side though. I'd say its good value overall and just the job :p

The OP asked if they were made from plastic or something else, I was answering the question.

More on the TOILET front - 2007. My son bought one last year, we fitted it and it was excellent.
So this year when the loos were on sale again I got one, modified the pipe work connected up and flushed. Only to find I had a leak from under the pan. After a great deal of searching for the source of the leak, I found it was ONLY when the loo was flushed
I took it back and got an exchange. But the next one did the same. So is it me or has anyone else had the same type of leak?
Upon further investigation, I find that the water is getting into the casting from behind the flush rim. I contacted the help line and told them of the problem, they say “I am very unlucky to get 2 with the same problem” and to take it back and get a refund.
But this is no good to me as the waste pipe is now lined up for this loo, and although loos are SIMILAR they are not exactly the same.
I have since sealed (with the ‘help lines’ permission), the place where the water is emerging from the underside of the base with silicone. This has now fixed the problem.
SO BEWARE, if you have fitted one on a wooden floor and sealed round the base with silicone to stop water going under the base when you wash the floor, it could be a very long time before you realise if the LOO is leaking !!!
I still haven’t decide whether to return it or not (Cos. I will have to buy another one that has the same waste outlet height, or dig out the wall again…. Pain!!)
    Cheers Dave
