Motivation to Get Fit? look no further

If you are like me and find it hard to get fit.. to stay motivated, I think this thread will help. I have often went on stints of 3 months of going to the gym and eating healthily, then to just throw it away by descending back into my unhealthy routine of watching telly, eating sh!te and generally being a slob. My housemates and I have devised a way for us to stay motivated until after christmas and I want to share it with my fellow un-motivated comrades. Also if anyone else can think of a way to get motivated, please post it here so we can all benefit.

Our plan is for each of us to pay a monthly sum of 30 euro each into a newly created bank account. This money is intended to be taken out in February and used to fund a long weekend in Krakow or Prague (undecided). Along with the compulsory 30/month we have created a fining system for anyone who fails to carry out at least four acts of fitness improvement per week. This can include: an hour in the gym, swimming, jogging (> 4 miles), Soccer or football of any type, squash, tennis or any other sport which gets the greenlight from a majority portion of the house.

Each housemate will have to add 20 euro for each week in which they fail to complete four of these excercises along with the 30euro/month. I think it's important to set goals, I think goals are easier to reach when you are toiling with others to achieve them. Thoughts?
