This may not seem like a personal issue but I'm not sure of the exact definition of one and I know I'll get good advice from some here so :-)

My girlfriend has found herself in a sticky situation needing to stay in Ireland for 3 or 4 weeks longer than anticipated before going abroad to study (shes not from Ireland herself so no family here and her own are.....uncooperative!) but has finished the job she held all summer with no chance of getting it back. Can anyone suggest possible avenues to make enough money just to hang around for these few weeks, I was thinking myself of promotional work or other casual work where her short stay isn't important, but I'd really appreciate any ideas (apart from the obvious ha ha suggestions, but feel free to amuse yourselves :-)

    thanks

Most Spars/Centras I've seen always have ads up for temp staff. As long as you were upfront and said that it would only be for 4 weeks, I can't see a problem as most places are crying out for English-speakers around Dublin.

Mightn't be the most optimal soluation but could she live off you for the few weeks? Just wanted to throw it out there.

    I imagine you've checked out www.jobs.ie?

Have her go to the temp agencies and fill out appls and leave a one-page resume.
