heard nothing but I hope and pray that they pack it up and fcuk off. They've made their money(and alot of it). If anything, they've tarnished poker tournaments in Ireland.
    But everyone here knows that.:D

i cant see them packing their bags - they make way too much money from all those muppets who turn up at their events...

in saying that it is a great place to learn how not to play poker :)

Bad money management I would imagine, they were taking money toward a guaranteed Grand Final and then they suddenly add a rebuy... trouble hitting the guarantee maybe?

probably try a name change. I believe they have built up a certain undesireable reputation as CPT to those in the know. Probably cant get any names to play in their big tournies.

    Are CPT a registered company?

If not then Betfair seem to have put little thought in to this one.

Shouldn't the title of the post be winding down, or was that just a play on words? They definitely are a bunch of wind up merchants and they're definitely not shutting down. They're betfair launch is on this sunday.

Seems strange they would go with the crowd generally regarded as cowboys, especially with pokerevetns actively seeking a sponsor with their player base I would have thought that was the far better option, they could sign up 320 of the countrys keenest players at one tourney.

Cant see how any research could have been carried out, why would a generally very customer orientated company allign themselves with an organisation who appear to have poor customer satisfaction.
