you don't really, but they use it for billing, pay per view etc so they like you to have one..

A phone line connected opens up the possibilities of easy-access to Sky Box Office events and Pay2Play games, and other Sky Active stuff (emails etc).

This in turn generates more revenue for Sky, and that's why they'd like everyone to be connected to the phoneline!

0
