just fitted a new Hoover integrated dish washer.

there is a anit-fill device on the water inlet pipe.
I think this is to stop the machine from over flowing etc.

anyhow - instructions say it is a 3/4" fitting but a standard 3/4" copper compession fitting does not fit into it ?? a little too big.

do I need an English 3/4" fitting for this to work ??

anyone else comes across this before?

    thx

Use a bog standard washing machine valve.

yeah - but the anit-fill device is fitted onto the hose.
It cannot be taken off without cutting it off !!!

I had a similar experience when trying to connect up the UFH manifold, the 3/4" fitting is not a standard compression fitting, it's to do with the inside diameter and outside diameter of the thread.

You need to get a 3/4" connecter not a 3/4" compression fitting.
Look in the boiler fittings section of the DIY shop.

    got a 3/4" gun-barrell/boiler fitting - 3/4-1/2" and it works a trick.

    thx again.
