Manual Tunning

Is it possible to manually tune in stations on a NTL box, the same way that it can be done on a sky box. I am looking to get ITV4 tuned in on my NTL box.

There are no extra channels on NTL. You get whatever your package allows and whatever NTL (now UPC) puts on the cable.

Thus there is no point to manual tuning Digital cable.

Sky does not control what is on Satellite. Unlike UPC owning the cable, they do not won any satellite or spectrum. Also by law a satellite Receiver in the EU MUST be able to receive channels not provided by the Pay TV provider if they are Free To Air, so the Sky Digibox has to have manual tuning, otherwise Sky would not have the feature.
