i was just about to order a rifle from speedytoys.com, when i remembered that American guns have this on the barrel tip.
anyone have any ideas how to get rid of it? as i havent heard of any such regulations over this side of the water plus it really takes away from the look of the gun.
obviously there's standard spray paint. although i havent a clue how this would bond to metal. maybe car paint? hmmm

Yeah, i was thinking about the same thing myself. I can only assume that this 'orange tip' law is going to be brought in over here eventually, after the gov realise the implications of legalising Airsoft over here :D
Some of the guns look like this orange tip is a seperate plastic piece that is simply pushed onto the end of the barrel, but i could be wrong. Other definitely look like a painted tip, so obviously you'd need to paint over this, or maybe it could scrape off easily without leaving any marks on the barrel. Anyone managed to remove/cover-up the orange tip?

alot have painted the barrel, some the ENTIRE barrel and some have a bit screwed in. like the p90 the end screws off so the silencer can be put on, so if you buy a seperate end from europe you can do it.

Also some people offer gun painting services so Im sure they wouldnt charge too much to have the orange tip removed.

ah excellent stuff. i was thinking there'd be no point trying to be a sniper and maybe putting effort into making a decent guille suit if you had a lighthouse on the end of your weapon like that.

Most of them are just a bit of plastic, so you can pull them out or cut them off, but some, unfortunatly are painted on, so just do what people said above. Paint it.
