Sky Box prob: not turning on

    This is a technical problem i'm having with my sky decoder. Its the one made by 'pace', which i believe is the standard one you get from sky.

    The box wont turn on; either via the button on the unit or the remote. The LED on the front panel is lit as if the box is in standby mode.

    Just wonderin if anyone has had this problem and knows how to fix it.

    Ive tried unplugging the unit, and reinserting the card.

    What model is it? The older Pace 2500's for example were prone to issues with power supply boards and their tuners.

    However the newer Pace "cobra" units seem pretty robust, and I've yet to handle a faulty one.

    I'd imagine your problem may be down to a power supply problem.
