registered or unregistered?

    just wondering if anyone could help me with a quick question,
    when buyin DDR RAM which is better, registered or unregistered?

    I'm not 100% sure on this but I think it depends on the motherboard and also I don't think you can match unregistered and registered.

    registered RAM is generally only used for servers, as it is generally slower, but it is less prone to error (and molre expensive as a result).

    Unless you're using something like a Socket 940 Opteron, not much point in using Registered memory. Better to go with standard (unregistered)
