    Hey!
I posted here last week about a Generic Host Process for Win32...Error that started about this time last week out of the blue. Since then i have had the worst weeks of my computering life. It only seems to effect winxp sp2 home & pro and no matter what i've done it just won't go away, i've given up and gone back to y2k sp4 and even thats acting up. I've been to a few fourms and it seems to be quiet widespread with one very interesting thing in common, it all seems to have started this time last week, no matter where i've been all have said it started last saturday night, this is a link from a link but it makes for strange reading http://www.castlecops.com/postitle164516-30-0-.html any one else having this problem and if so how on earth did you get it resolved?

Good to here dude, but if its a thing it happens to you i swear it will put years onto you, but heres a heads up for any one who does come down with the jitters. Its not your memory, its not your mainboard your cpu in fact i can at this stage pretty much guarantee that it is in no way hardware related.
It started last week on a pretty new build with a fresh install of xppro sp2 but to my horror it started on a brandnew build on monday i nearly lost my fupin head. A new asus with a nvidia 6150 chipset a new 64 fx new ram(Team) new sata new 9in1 reader, i mean this thing is new, so i tought fup it i'll revert back to xphome and again it happend, todate its happend on 3 machines all with different hardware. The only thing i will say for sure is that the problem lies with sp 2 on home and pro and no matter what av you run the problem will still comeback, i use kaspersky internet security and if that don't nuke malware or anything else nasty noting will, i've also tried 5 others and they all come up smelling rosy but things are far from rosy. I wish bill gates was here right now cos i'd rip his fupin nuts off and stick one in each ear

I'm using y2k at the moment and deleted my log from hijack this but heres a scannow report from the other day
    sfc /scannow

Faulting application svchost.exe, version 5.1.2600.2180, faulting module netapi32.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x0000a3c0.

The problem seems to lie with internet/network connection. Your on lie for say 5mins and you get the Generic Host Process for Win32 Error dialog box click send error or cancel. If you cancel the dialup/internet connection goes down and the same when you send report. Now the pc seems to run with no other obvious problems except you have to reboot in order to reconnect and 5mins later the same dialog box appers.

its a new virus, avast antivirus is the only one that can cure it so far, the rest will hopefully catch up shortly.

Ye its intergrated into Kaspersky Av Internet Security and is/was pretty good but at the moment i can't seem to get it to start. It stays as disabled in services and i can't seem to get it started. Did a clean install did a live update full computer scan then a reoot and it reads as disabled in services, its even doing it now in y2k?
