    Hi There,

I joined Westwood in Leopardstown three months ago. I've been about 10-12 times. I am having some difficulties in motivating myself to go. It's not even motivational, I really want to get fit. It's just that I am so tired most mornings and say feck it I'll just have another few minutes and then I skip the gym and go to work.

Basically I'm wondering if there are any Boardsie and Westwood members who are having the same problem that would be interested in making each other feel guilty when we don't go? We wouldn't have to go at the same time would make each other feel guilty by e.mail. My situation means that I'm restricted to going in the mornings but I might be able to do some evenings.

    J

If only there was like a notice board in gyms where you could put up a notice looking for a training partner. The gym I'm in has nothing of the sorts but would be handy as I never have a spotter so could never really really push myself on a bench press without annoying someone else.

Use a smith machine instead of a bench. Thats what I have to do because I dont have someone to spot me.

You could try adapting to what you have at hand? What I mean is if the smith machine uses a different range of motion try and incorporate it into your benching workout so you could superset or something. Ingenuity is always handy.
