Hi , I havent played my 360 in ages and really only wanted to download the test drive unlimited demo.

So when i switched it on it says it needed to be updated, so i plugged my broadband (eircom) into it and said continue but then it kept on failing and now i dont have an online?!?!

    any help greatly appreciated, thanks.

Can you run the tests, does it fail at a particular step? Or does it go through them all okay?

how did the 360 know it needed to be updated if it was not pluged into your broadband

as Koneko says run the tests and see where it fails .

go to system blade / network settings / test xbox live connection and when it's done you will have a good idea where to look.

i'm with eircom also and use a netopia wireless router and even with the xbox live ports open to the xbox 360's ip # it fails on " xbox live " so i have to set the routers firewall to low to connect to live .
