    Do you have a favorite Bible verse? If so, why is it your favorite? Does it have a special meaning to you? :)
    Mine is:
    Pslam 55:6-9
    I said, "Oh, that I had the wings of a dove!
    I would fly away and be at rest - I would flee far away and stay in the desert;
    Selah. I would hurry to my place of shelter,
    far from the tempest and storm."
    My step dad passed away in August of 2005, and one day he said something to me about wanting to be a bird so he could fly away and rest. He was really sick :( ... and confined to bed for many months...so it wasn't very difficult to understand why he said this. I came across this Bible verse while he was still here, and it's been my life verse every since.

    Now it's your turn! ;)

    Where to start?

    1 Peter 3:15
    But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

    Romans 8:28-30
    And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

    When I was a Christian, this was my favourite verse (Hosea 2.14):

    "Therefore I am now going to allure her;
    I will lead her into the desert
    and speak to her heart."

    It goes on:

    "There I will give her back her vineyards,
    and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope.
    There she will sing as in the days of her youth,
    as in the day she came up out of Egypt.

    "In that day," declares the LORD,
    "you will call me 'my husband';
    you will no longer call me 'my master. '
    I will remove the names of the Baals from her lips;
    no longer will their names be invoked.

    In that day I will make a covenant for them
    with the beasts of the field and the birds of the air
    and the creatures that move along the ground.

    Bow and sword and battle
    I will abolish from the land,
    so that all may lie down in safety.
    I will betroth you to me forever;
    I will betroth you in righteousness and justice,
    in love and compassion. "

    Why? I guess I was wery much of a romantic. I still find it beautiful.
