[Fitz 1-2 PLH. I have 650 or so villain to my immediate right covers by 100-150 or so. (the following details may be slightly innacurate but are the best i can recall) . I had started with 180 , worked that up to 650 with some agressive play. Then down to 99 after a nasty beat , managed to work it back up to 950.I then lose flush over flush on the river (was ahead with a straight on turn) to knock me back down to 650.
I have been playing loose agressive raising a lot of pots (have raised almost all my buttons) and taking a lot of pots uncontested on the flop. Getting paid off big time with any reasonable hand eg get 250 off a guy on a 10 9 4 Q 6 board i have J 10 he has 7 10 - thought i was messing.

Anyway the hand in question. Everyone calls 2, i pump it up to 15 in the CO with A 10 , villain calls on the button ,BB also calls. .( dont have a huge amount of info on the villain as he hasnt been on the table long, but he seems solid. I have had to drop a couple of hands already due to him playing back at me.)

    Flop comes A J 4 with 2 clubs. I lead for 40 villain reraises to 125 and I call.

Turn comes a 5d. I check, villain bets 125 and I come back over the top of him putting me all in. Its another 385 to him to call.

When he bet the turn i put him on an A with a good kicker Q or K. Knew the only way i was winning was with a bet so i went all in representing AJ,AA or JJ. He dwelled up for what seemed like an eternity, agonising over his decision. I wanted to call clock on him while he was thinking but was afraid it would induce a call. eventually after 5 minutes someone else calls clock and with about 20 seconds left he makes a reluctant call. Result below.
Comments on how the hand was played please?

He called with A 4 for 2 pair

When you play like a lunatic, you will never get him off a better hand here.

In fact, you probably never get him off a better hand even if you play like a rock.

If you have AT, on that board and you put him on a better ace. keep the pots small, or let it go. if they call with T7 why ar ethey folding TPTK?

I cant believe you thought u were winning after he re-raised u to 125 on that flop. Man O man. Cut your losses and run like the wind after the re-raise. Do not lose all ur stack!

Raising to €15 in the CO with a marginal like A10 isn't something i'd do but once you got 2 callers, you should be worried.

Leading out for €40 is fine, a decent sized bet that will find out where you are or take down the pot. His €125 re raise is basically him telling you that you're behind and possibly a hell of a long way behind. You need to fold here. You still have €600 in front of you so you've plenty to work with. I don;t understand why you flat called here, was there a definite plan to bet the turn? If so, check raising him on a blank turn is a poor play. The 5d is a great card for his hand, he can't believe it's helped you. Check raising means that he know has more money in the pot and another reasons to call. I just don't see why you built a big pot when surely you knew you were behind on the flop.

Interesting hand though, the type of thing you see a good bit of in the 1/2 pl holdem games.

Theres 250 in the pot, and you risked 500 to win it. You will win the hand a small % of the hand, but there is no way a random guy in the fitz folds an ace here enough to make it profitable.

To make this bluff profitable you would need to know your opponenet inside out. Calling him solid is not enough.

I dont think you would go far wrong in the fitz cash game to never try and take someone off top pair.
