Are these still available? The ones you can strike off your shoe or your manly stubble. Like they do in the westerns. So slick. Can you buy them anywhere in Dublin?

Not too sure. Just get a Zippo - at least you can do stylish tricks when lighting something.

Ya can get storm matches! Burn like f**k! Dunno if ya can strike them on leather etc. though?? Any army shop should supply them I would assume!

Swan Vestas are much the same. They have a pink head and come in a double sized matchbox. They're not quite as volatile as the old Maguire and Patersons with the red head on them. They'd ignite if you looked at them. The Vestas are pretty good though. They'll light on a stone or concrete or bare metal (if it's not too polished). Probably light on a sole of a shoe as well (proper leather sole). Any decent tobacconist should have them. Pipe smokers like them. No, I'm not a pyromaniac :D
