    OK listen up brothers... I want to commute to college and stuff in the new term, for like fitness n' stuff..but I need a crappy bike dig, not bringin' my deadly one only to have it thieved on me...so where's a good place to get an old banger so to speak?

    Smaller bike shops (e.g. Cycle Inn, Tallaght etc.)
    Buy and Sell
    Freecycle

    Buy and Sell and here on boards (e.g. adverts.ie.) Not sure how much cheap stuff is there right now but will probably have success with a wanted ad.
