Running bad

This post is my no means a bad beat moan( ah i suppose it is a lil)

This week has undoubtedly been the worse week i've ever had since turning pro. The phrase "case card" seems to sum up my week pretty well.

Now everybody has bad runs and of course the various solutions include taking a break and moving down levels which i usually do when i run bad. Pretty soon its all back to normal and poker becomes fun again.

However this week has totally crucified me.After the case card incident in the Fitz last week, online poker has duly followed suit. I have moved down to 50/$1 but still the bad luck continues.

2/3rds of BR has been eradicated this week and for the first time in 4 years I really am hating the game. I've played more live games this week and played on different online sites to stay fresh and sharp but to no avail.

As i am essentially living off my BR at the moment should i just withdraw the final 1/3rd or is it worth getting back in the saddle again?

Any other advice for when the cards run cold apart from the above mentioned?

    You need a larger bankroll.
Your bankroll needs to be able to withstand much longer periods than one week of running badly. If going back to work is an option for you right now, then it is probably the best option, at least until you have a large enough bankroll to play through the swings.

If not, do what I do - borrow more money and play bigger games.
