Sitting on the kerb at a bus stop recently made me realise 'life' is different down there.

    Heres number 1.

nicely done alright, although whats the blur on the left hand side beside the pole on the path...dirt on the lense?

A view I knew all too well when I lived in Dublin. Great shot, well done.

No, a pedestrian. :D I presume he was just behind the pole at the start of the shot and merely shows up as a ghost.

I used to work right there and drink in the establishment (and Cassidy's) across the road. Great shot. Ahh the memories.:p

nice shot, like the pov. Also like the ghost character.

It look like the tungsten lights really fooled the white balance on you camera though, resulting in everything having the red/yellow hue to it. Personally I'd have fixed that. I'd have also cropped the little bit of building leading up the right hand side to keep the sky open. I like the deserted/lonely feel of the photo, but maybe a car passing with it's lights streaked would have made for a more interesting shot?

    just my 2 cents.

I like it, nice to see something a bit different. Like the dof and as mentioned good perspective. Clever way to occupy bus waiting time.

I really like it. The lights seem to blur a lot though, what lens did you use?

The colour is really yellow and murky, I'd adjust it something like this:

I think I prefer the original, has a rough look to it.

I went back a few nights later and took another shot - in the rain.

Lots of blur, lousy photo, but I love glistening effect on the kerb and the fact that you can't see the bottoms of the wheels on the van because of the camber on the road.

[Edit] Oh yes, the second one was a little rushed. I didn't want the camera run over by traffic!

Much prefer the second one victor!

The left hand side of the photo is really interesting.

I prefer the second one too, the shiney glistening light is really nice

I like the second one more, the yellow white balance looks kind of icky. And yeah, you do get a feel for character from such a low angle. I passed an hour last night taking photos of kittens and found it fun when a picture came out with this six-foot tall kitten attacking the camera.

Further Down, On Redmond's Hill. A fuller gutter.

Funny enough, I moved in just up the road from the original shot :p
