I've an old external I/O bay around here somewhere, dunno if it works though.

Its from an Audigy Platinum Ex, any use to you?

I've also got one knocking about...from a Live! 5.1 I think. You're welcome to it if it helps.

    Dunno, good question!

Does the card have expansion pins at the end? Right at the end there should be loads of pins that would connect to an IDE cable...

I've dug out the bay, but I cant find the ide internal cable and the external connection card. Although i'll look again toomorrow, when there is some light :p

    Here's a pic of it:

if you get a chance, please take some photos of the back/connectors but i dont see why the platinum one and the the audigy should not work together

    :-)

Well that large connection in the pic connects to another small card (yet to find) which then connects to the Audigy

Like the second card on this pic, these are the pins i'm on about.

    Does yours have this?
Also, i dunno if i'll be able to find that card, but i'll check :)

thing is, i really only after the 'drive bay' not the card. also my card is the audigy 1, so i think it has different connections :-(

Yeah it mightn't work alright, this is from a pritty old card.

Anyway, good luck finding one :)
