Fe1s - Contract and Land question

I've justed strated using the Roundhall nutshell for Land law by Ruth Cannon for my fe1 study. Being a formal Lyall student it seems incredibly sparse on detail compared to what I'm used to. Is it adequate for the fe1s or do I need another supplementary text.
(I'd prefer to do bare minimum and only add on later where required).

Also can anyone recommend a nutshell-esque text for Contract law? My first year notes aren't up to scratch!
