mechanical engineering-contact hours

    Anyone know what the contact hours for 1st year are like ?

    As i remember the hours were pretty long. Think it was getting close to 30hrs including labs, classes and tutorials. All years in engineering tend to be quite high by comparison to most courses. if you have any q's about it just repost....

    not sure about mechanical eng..

    I'm mechatronic eng and we have the longer hours i think..
    1st yr we have almost 37 hrs..
    2nd yr was about 34 hr i reckon..

    It's definitely hard work that's for sure..

    Think it is pretty much the same as mechatronics in first yr. It looks 37 but because of the alternating labs with weeks off it generally is no more than 30-32 hrs. As yrs go on though gets less and less, but no-where in the region of business. Is tough but there is a lot of craic! drop me a mail if you need some details.
