Firefox extension problem

I have two or three firefox extensions downloaded but it says that they'll start working once I restart Firefox. I though this would mean closing the programme and opening it agin, but it's not working. Anyone know how to restart Firefox? Or am I doing it right but something else is wrong?

Are you sure Firefox is closing properly (i.e. firefox.exe process is gone)?

You might have to kill the process manually, Task Manager->End Process.
