Man I'd love a game of golf! Just spent the last 20 mins delicately drawing a black line on thirty golf balls for a putting aid...

I'd love one of those at home golf simulators with various built-in courses from around the world - how cool would that be?!

Is there anywhere that sells them at any sort of a reasonable price? I emailed a place in England recently just out of interest (I'd need to build another wing onto my batchelor pad if I wanted one!) and they quoted me stg£42k!!! Ha!

I know how you feel - I pass my course every morning going to work and I'm thinking hmmmmm, do I need to go to work today? It's so tempting to "ring in sick" while we still have the good weather.

I pass my course every morning going to work.

That must be torture! I'd advise you to either get a new job or plan an alternative route to work! :)

    SwingKing, I hate you!

Be lucky to get more than one round in this week as well now that I think of it :( Why can't the rest of the world just leave me alone and let me golf? Is it really too much to ask??

Greenhorn, I can supply you with a brilliant golf simulator for a lot less than £42k :)

Simulator has a driving range and a golf course and you hit real golf balls with real clubs (no wires, lasers, sticky tape) - after shot swing analysis shows club head speed, swing path in degrees, club face open or closed, deviation from sweet spot etc etc, you hit balls and learn so much about you're game - this is a real game improver and great fun and a very impressive sight also.

Nice - can you supply with another big room on my four-room house for it too?? :)

Out of interest again, what kind of space do they need? I'd love to have one I must say. No chance though! :(

This isn't totally beyond youand the complete package is not as far out of you're reach as you think

you'll only need 9fthigh x 9ftwidex16ftlong, you're average garage size should do - this is a mobile golf simulator so we can bring it to an event or a garage an set it up in 1 hour to use and enjoy - it really is a great product and great craic as well, :D the graphics are really awesome and in 3D, on top of that you get very valuable feebdack on you golf swing and will be able to fix those hooks and slices

Get a group of your mates around and hire it for a day - split the cost and see for yourself just how good this is.

see www.golfswingpro.ie for more details OR pm me to discuss it.

Saw that in American Golf last week - only 30quid! Sure ye'd have to give it a bash for that price wouldn't ye. Think i'll get one...

Mox, I'd love to buy one of those bad boys and someday, God willing, I'll play a quick Nine at Augusta, Carnoustie or Pebble Beach (I'd love a crack at that approach shot on 8!) before work every morning (back nine then when I got home :) ) but unfortunately, neither the space or funds are in place yet. :(

www.digitalwarehouse.ie also do a simulator. Tried it out at the golf show in Punchestown at Easter: very realistic (you actually hit a ball that's on a 6-inch swing-arm). You need space to swing a club and watch your telly at the same time, that's all. A bit more expensive than £34, this one is €240 but I'm sure they have it in stock. You might get a bit off if you bargain: as far as I remember, they were flogging them at the show for less than €200. The guy's name is Richard Creagh.
