US Sleeping pill

    hi, headin to the states soon, and will be doing alot of travelling, some on buses trains etc, im not a particularly good sleeper, so was wondering if the over the counter slleping pills over there are stronger than here and how effective they are? have heard they are stronger.... any help would be appreciated thanks!

    yeah they are pretty good as far as i can remember, was living in a house with 15 people in 4 bedrooms, so when i needed sleep i took one or two of them.
    Theres entire isles in pharmacy's with over the counter sleeping pills, think they were shelved in order of strength as well... haha!!
    you should get some extra strength tylonol with codine and take a few of them, knocks you out cold, with an extra kick!!

    I usually don't take tablets but sometimes I take the Nytol or something similar which helps.

    The over the counter stuff don't work well, at least not on me. :) Ask your doctor to give you a real sleeping pill.

    I've no direct knowledge of sleeping pills, but medicines in general tend to be a lot stronger in the US. So I think it would be safe to assume that yes, you can get stronger sleeping pills over the counter in the US.
