    Hi

I have just been asked to find out the requirements for something in the office. Its to place an LCD in reception with pictures on it displaying our services with scrolling text and the like. I know it requires and LCD, computer/laptop. Will Powerpoint be sufficient to do this or is there other software out there that is more apt?

    Thanks.

Powerpoint will be fine. The college I go to uses it, as does a large electronic advertising board at one of the local petrol stations (some mornings you can see the mouse pointer overlapping the ads - try to avoid that in your one :D ).

Yep. Mac mini's are useful for this. Easy to tuck away and not take up space.

Don't waste money on any sort of high spec machine if that's all you're going to be doing. A mac mini is probably the best option as irlrobins pointed out. Go for the lowest spec version

Thanks guys. I was going for a very low spec machine anyway as this is all it will be doing.
