Well, I had a mixed weekend in my F5, the chain loosened on Saturday morning for qualifying, from 4th on the grid for the race I took the lead about 4 laps in and promptly destroyed the chicane and damaged the car.
A bit downhearted We repaired it overnight, and on Sunday I lead from the start and won..at the Park... fantastic... and i have to say, it was all down to my bro (Beekay) my Dad, and my 2001 UK Vee teammate Ivan Casey for helping with repairs all day Saturday.
Then the 2 guys im running In Vees had their 1st 'Park" outing, and Im glad to say they finished both races with no damage, with their eyes a little more saucerlike than before, but then the Park aint for the fainthearted or those of a nervous disposition.
And to cap it all Keno won the Vee race on Sunday.. woo hoo.
It was easily the most well organised Park i have competed in, and fair play to the men involved in organising it.
And thanks to Leo Nulty and Matt feeney for the great commentaries, you kept us well informed.

So how was your park experience,be it driver or spectator........

I missed your race this morning but I'm happy to hear you did a bit better on today - you didn't look too happy after you had rolled your F5 back in yesterday.

Over all the event ran very well, especially on Sunday when the delays were less and the assembly/parade/start procedure was revised.

They have had a chicane on the straight between turn 1 and 2 for the last few years

I was there on Saturday. Everyone including myself was very impressed with your driving to take the lead, until you disappeared and no one had a clue why. I seen the nose cone knocked off your car just prior to that and figured it was mechanical. Took loads of pix on Sat so may get some of those up during the week.

Yeah, great weekend. well done Kersh on a great win yesterday! A Park win is supposed to be worth ten Mondello wins....or so they say!!!
The car looks great, too. Definite shades of Leyton House there.............
My voice is totally gone from the commentary, although I was shown a video of myself singing in the Visitor centre on Saturday night so I have nobody to blame but myself
Yeah, I agree totally, it was really well organised and there was a great attendance there too!!
The text number for the commentary booth was very successful too, with over 1000 texts coming in, mostly from people attanding their first 'Park!!!! :D

There were some lovely cars there, I took hundreds of photos was a great 2 days, the vintage car race was class. I surprised at the speed off the saab following the porsche around on saturday, could well hold its own.

I always liked the Leyton house colours, so I had to go with them.

Yeah, great weekend. Spoke to a load of people yesterday and everyone seems delighted with it. No word on the finances though yet. I hop they at least broke even and if they made a few quid, well fair play to them.
So Kersh, would you give 10 Mondello wins for a 'Park win????:)

    Hey everyone,

I was at the park there on Sunday - had been there before about 15 years ago or so. Had a great time, was great to see so many vintage cars out- was even better to see them still being in one piece after that first turn (dunlop corner?)! :)

Really enjoyed seeing the Vees in action - I've been contemplating getting a Vee and starting racing myself so it was really great too see that they do have a good bit of kick and looks like its very competitive racing!

As a spectator I thought that some of the commentary setup could be better - the commentators were good but they couldnt see the whole track...sooo sometimes when I was viewing from (dunlop/first corner), you'ld just notice some cars going missing every lap and the commentators werent in a position to say what happened cos they themselves didn't see it :) think next year Ill have to climb a tree to get a full view of whats going on! And the speakers at the main straight and the first corner kept turning on and off every few seconds...and with my hangover it was killin me... but all in all I had a great time! was well impressed with the great variety of cars!

Oh - and could anyone tell me what car this is:
