Not last night, but have seen it. Good film, shame the Stephen King name is generally not a good association when it comes to films...

Oh there are some good ones no doubt as listed above, but there are loads of crap ones too - and the thing is, they aren't just crap, they're absolutely abysmal, and its a shame given the excellent material to work with, that they also in alot of cases happen to be low budget affairs.

Again though there are some good ones like Shawshank, Shining, Green Mile, etc...

Saw it last year on TV3 I think. Gave it 5/10. Dee Wallace is always watchable but overall I didn't much care for it. The whole "trapped in a car" sequence went on too long (or not long enough considering the rest of the movie). Then again I'm a very hard marker against any film with any slobber or slurry in so Cujo never stood a chance with me. I think the best Stephen King adaptations have always been his non-horror stuff. I can't think of anything horror that I would reccomend (maybe Salems lot but that was TV iirc. Always thought The Shining was overrated).

Apparently King wasn't happy with The Shining at all. He felt Kubrick's approach was too over-the-top and soulless. "A great big beautiful car with no motor in it" was his verdict, and he had it remade in a TVM style. For shame, Mr King!

Yes indeed. Carrie is a spot-on adaptation. Cujo scared the **** out of me when I was a kid but I watched it recently and just found it really cheap and silly.
