How much is RTE making in advertising revenue from this dross?

Is RTE the biggest winner from this rubbish?

I shall rephrase so. The owners of the text lines are the winners.

Precisely. The mobile operators will do rather nicely out of this, as I would say with almost certainity that text voting is more popular than actual dialling the phone number. I know people who never rang in to phone polls, will txt these programmes nowadays.

exactly, and considering it's only 1 channel they can switch over if it annoys them that much, this is one of the few if not only "reality" style show that RTE 1 has done this year , thank your stars we're not as bad as bbc with only fools on horses and strictly come dancing and strictly dance fever and.....
not to forget ITV and their "celebrity" love island, dancing on ice, i'm a "celebrity" etc and then there's big brother which runs for about 12 years per season.

RTE run Charity You're a Star for 2 of 52 weeks, for charity, please stop begruding.
