looks cheap as hell..i'd be a bit weary about putting on unknown brands on a canon 350d..wouldn't want to damage the mounting although there is a t-mount with it...aren't the canon/sigma ones as least €300?

it's an 800mm lens for £85. You get what you pay for. It might be good to get to mess around with like some folks get those cheap mirror lenses for... I doubt it'd be of any real use though.

The aperature is so poor and with 4 elements in 2 groups that it seems lika great waste if money. Also it is manual focus, if you have a 70-300mm lens you would be better buying a teleconverter, or even a 2 and a 1.4, and if you can find second hand manual ones they are cheaper than that lens and would yield far better results.

Be careful there though. The 70-300 is 5.6 on the long end. Your camera might not AF with a teleconverter on that, 5.6 is sort of an inbuilt limiter in some cameras. If I remember correctly the 70-300 is f/4 on that short end, that'd be f/5.6 with a 1.4x converter. You'd still be better off than the Opteka thing though. There's a good possibility that that won't even meter. Useless with those aperture values without a tripod and patience really.

Would suggest you stay clear of the first one. Quality for that price would be non-existant to be honest.
