I've heard somewhere that you can get broadband throught mobile phone masts.

Cable and wireless are not available in my area, and never will, so mobile phone masts is my last glimmering hope of ever getting broadband

anyone know of any companies which offer this service, or if what i'm hearing is not true

This is probably 3G with a wireless router ... lots of info on the subject here on boards. Try searching on the Broadband forum.

Big discussion on it and coverage maps right here

The other carriers have nothing like this ....bar o2 who charge €130 a month for the same package.
