sorry but pc keyboard problems are better of being replaced. Whats the laptop model, I would like to know whats being housed underneath your c+d keys.

    Would you rule out static?

Once, while its not plugged in, mabye. After that its not. More than likley a componant or bare wire with a low current touching a part of the case near your keyboard.

I'd suggest just avoiding certain words. :) Don't laptop keyboards usually have a whole bunch of layers before you even get to the membrane? Does this happen EVERY time you press these keys?

if you bought the laptop from pc world then you have a standard 1 year manufacturers warrenty. If it is past this 1 year period the only option is to buy the extended warrenty 3/5 years on that model laptop it will be 275/370 ( ish ) You will have ot buy that in order to get the laptop replaced, But this will take upto 3 months, and what you will get is a voucher for the original cost of the laptop and a voucher for the extended warrenty.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks Guys...I haven't reached the year yet. And it happens a helluva lot... I suppose the best option would be to bring it over to them
