A little info needed - Australian holiday visas

    Hi there,

I'm planning on visiting Australia this coming November for a couple of weeks, and I applied through a travel agent for my holiday visa which cost me 25.00 euros.
I gave my passport to the assistant and after a few minutes of tapping on her keyboard she gave me back my passport along with a printout on A4 paper saying that that was my visa. Can someone on the boards confirm this is correct as I don't want to leave it to chance as I was expecting something a bit more official.

    Thank you for your help.

    R. Flagg.

That is correct, it's called an ETA. You could have applied online for 20 Australian dollars

    Just for short stays/holidays

When you get to australia that will put the visa on your passport when you come though the airport...or in our case as we landed at a weekend we had to go in to town to the immigration office and get it there.

Sorry for hijacking this thread but could someone link me to where you can get the Working Holiday Visa for E120 compared to the E150 quoted by travel agents. Can't remember where I found it before.

    thanks in advance

You don't need to do this for a holiday visa, only for a working holiday.

For a holiday visa the ETA is all that is required.

Opps - sorry, didn’t read the original post properly.

Cheers for pointing that out BC
