Pornography on BEBO

I seem to recall sometime ago that BEBO gave some form of undertaking that they would be pretty vigilant on porngraphic material on BEBO in Ireland and would remove it if asked.

I have reported the same site for the past 30 days, each day and nothing has happened.

Anyone any thought?

I've seen loads of account that had porn on them deleted so I think they're doing they're best. Although they should have your problem dealt with ages ago! Maybe you should try ringing them. I'm sure bebo would have all their contact details on their site.

UNFORTUNATELY that link does not lead to any porn. Your persistent emailing to the moderators at bebo seems to have worked. However, I disagree with your views on censoring bebo. The internet is full of porn, be it on bebo or not.

The reason the link does not work is that you need to be a bebo member.

I am not trying to censor bebo, I have not expressed any views on censorship so i dont see how you can disagree with them. That is not my issue here.

I am exploring the validity of their commitment to deliver on their promises and wondering what any other parents thought/ waht experience any other parents had with them.

I am a bebo member, and am signed in, and that link displays nothing, not even an empty album..

I'm guessing the kid has made his page Friends-Only

I dont think its the "friends only" thing either coz it would always say that this profile cannot be viewed because its "friends only". Perhaps bebo has solved the prob?

the reason it doesn't work is the link is bringing you to the last profile you've visited (varies for everyone) and trying to find whatever the photoalbum name is called and then the filename of the picture, and unless everyone here is viewing his profile we will not see the album or the picture you linked to.

just highlights shoddy coding on bebo's part.

If you have an issue with it report it to bebo admin and consider telling the child parents or raising it with the teacher in school so that he/she can talk to the child parents.

In the mean time have a talk with your son and sort out a net monitoring system.

Then google their online username(s), alias(es/i), nicknames etc.
