Recycling Computers

I want to recycle some old computer equipment from our office (2 laptops, 2 printers, 2 baseunits). There is a company in Swords who do it, but they charge businesses for it and quite a substantial charge too (over 100e plus VAT and 40e to pickup).
We can drop them off one unit at a time to their home facilities, but not really an option as I don't drive.
According to Oxygen, they can't give the old computers away, not even to community or other groups.
Is there anyone out there who knows of a better way?

Or you could freecycle them - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LeinsterFreecycle/

There's a company in Mulhuddart/Blanch area that recycles old 'puters as well, and uses them to give internet access to people with disabilities who may be house bound. I'll try and find links to their details and post them up.

    What spec are the laptops?

If you can't give them away, can you sell them very reasonably?
