    Hi,

We stayed in the Jurys Hotel on Dupont Circle last August-it's a gorgeous hotel and we thought it was good value, centrally located...but we ended up getting taxis everywhere anyway!!

Is the Foggy Bottom area a central location when staying in Washington.
Was thinking of staying at the River Inn. Is anyone familiar with this place or can they recommend somewhere else thats not too expensive

Foggy Bottom is fairly central for all the sights in DC, and as far as I know it is a quite historical neighbourhood itself.

Not familiar with the hotel you mentioned, but you could check it on TripAdvisor.com.
