Can't connect to BT wireless router

    Hi all,

I received my new ZyXEL P-600 series wireless router from BT. When I connect my laptop using ethernet the connection works fine. If I try to connect using my ASUS WL107g 802.11g wireless adapter it cant see the router (it picks up the neighbours wireless network ok!).

It doesn't get an IP address or anything. A utility comes with the card and using the wizard I enter the settings to connect to an access point exactly but no joy. Is it possible the adapter and router are incompatible or just something stupid I am doing? ipconfig shows media disconnected. The wireless function on the router is active.

    thanks.
