For some reason, none of the current-service aircraft really appeal to my eye, with one exception:

    F-14 in Iranian colours.
    f14_iran.jpg

Going back a couple of years...
    Saab Viggen in splinter scheme.
F-4 Phantom II in Vietnam four-colour.
    F-111 Aardvark in four-colour.

The A-10 is strangly penis shaped though.

The Apache is hot, despite what pains they went through to make it look as ugly as possible

More or less. It's an interdiction strike aircraft, replaces the Su-24 Fencer (The Mini-F-111)

    The XB70 was sexy.
The B1B has something sleek and menacing about it.
The F15E looks mean and nasty and like it'd swat you from the sky.

But it's just no competition. Always got to be the Tomcat.

Rotary? The MH53. The Caesar of CSAR

Nah. The blackbird is a cool ship and no doubt (anything that can do a mile every 1.5 seconds is by that fact alone cool) but it's just that bit too impersonal for me. The tomcat looks like it has character, the Habu just flew straight and level. (at Mach 3 ;) )

Yep damn nice... just checked up on it on wikipedia, some fascinating facts about it,, (..they used USSR titanium to build the airframe.., it also cost on average, $25,000 per hour to run!!)

for jet fighters, I like the more classical mig-21 and 23. this does have to do with being an F18 Hornet Korea Gold (flight sim) addict.

as far as the old warbirds go its the Supermarine Spitfire. the lines are just gorgeous...the sound from the RR merlin engine just gives you shivers down your spine....the P51 is a close second...I just love it.
