    Hi,

I've been to the states a few times. I am looking to go again this December with my family to do a bit of Christmas shopping. We are looking for some bargains in the outlets, especially with the falling US$. We've done the NYC and Woodbury common stuff before and are looking for something else. So far, Boston looks reasonable. I seem to remember that they have the biggest shopping Mall in the world in Minnesota, anyone been?? Any other recommendations for Christmas shopping??

    Thanks,

    Darren

Mall of America (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mall_of_America) is just across the interstate from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport

Have you been? Is it any good? Hmmmm, I feel a cunning plan involving a Vikings football game formulating.

My Sister-in-law lives in Boston and says the shopping there is fantastic. I've heard good things about Chicago too.

Only problem I'd see with Minneapolis is no direct flights.

Boston's got good shopping. If you hire a car while there you can also go up to Freeport in Maine, there's a load of factory outlets there (plus it's a great state to visit anyway)

If you are going to Boston bear in mind that New Hampshire, which is very near, doesn't have any sales tax. I would have thought the shopping in New York was better but then it depends what you're looking for and I didn't go to any malls.

Yea, lots of outlet shopping in North Conway, New Hampshire with 0% sales tax. It's about 2 hrs or so from Boston, closer to Boston are the outlets in Wrentham, about 30min south on I-95, great range of shops there.

Kittery in Maine may be an option, though that is a few hours drive from Boston.
