    Hi folks

Edit -> The lights on the case are normally blue as its a Thermaltake V1000+ (Xaser 3 Series) <- End of edit

Maybe someone can help me with this one. Last night when i powered down my computer I noticed that the power light on the case was flashing. I tried to restart the computer and it refused to power up. I killed the power on the PSU, waited about 10 seconds and then turned it back on, and it started up. I checked, it got as far as the BIOS check and POSTed and then I powered it down.

This morning when I tried to turn it on, it wouldnt power up at all. I noticed the same blue flashing lights and did the same as last night. Except this time when I killed the power (by the power switch) the power light on the PC stayed on, then after a couple of seconds flickered and then went out.

Currently I suspect it is a power problem either from the PSU or the Mobo. The motherboard is an MSI 7100 (K8N Diamond SLI) and the PSU is a Thermaltake PurePower 680

Daily usage is limited as I am at work, but it mostly is the odd game of NFS:MW and music mixing, web browsing and the likes.

Any ideas on what is wrong or what could be the solution

    Full system specs

    Motherboard: MSI-7100 K8N Diamond
    RAM: 4*1GB PC3200
    CPU: Athlon 64 X2 4400+ (not overclocked)
    Hard Disks IDE: 2 * 120Gb Maxtor
    Hard Disks SATA: 4 * 300Gb Maxtor
    Optical IDE: 2 * DVD-RW (NEC 1300 & 3540A)
    Sound: Terratec DMX Fire 24/96
GFX: 2 * Gainward GeForce 7800GT in SLI mode
    PSU: Thermaltake PurePower 680

OS: Windows Pro SP2 with all latest drivers and SPs applied.

    Thanks ...

Any other PSU laying around you can use to test with?

Check your BIOS setting for the power button action - sounds like it is configured to do Suspend instead of Softoff (a flashing power LED usually indicates Suspend mode).

Its a blown PSU.. noticed high pitched buzzing and clicking. Wont power the other board so I am guessing it D.E.D

    Thanks for the help anyways
