my exit hand

    Hi everyone

Just for some analysis , heres my exit hand.
4th hand of day 5, im in the BB, on 410,000 chips.
Blinds are 6000/12000 with a 2000 ante, so 36000 in the middle.

Utg +2 open raises for 35,000 standard raise (and hes being fairly active), SB thinks and calls,
So around to me and theres now 90k in the pot, 1/4 of my stack, i have JJ and feel im ahead, dont want to see a flop out of position with this hand, vs probable overs, and feel i push all in here as a squeez play may even get called by the big stack open raiser with TT or 99.

Anyway, push i do, and fully expect to get it through, and be on 500k, and comfortable enough again, the first raiser folds, the 2nd dude in the SB is playing about 600k, he thinks and calls with QQ.

Damn i hate losing $900,000 pots.

Still great experience all in all, that was the only time in the whole 5 days i was all in and called, and behind.

I think this push is standard, i guess i wonder does anyone call, and then see a flop, the flop came K high , i woulda been able to get away, but thats easy to say now.

Rob, I've a feeling it's eating you up... but I think it's pretty standard.

Rob, Dont let this eat you up.If anythting the SB played the hand terribly and got lucky by you pushing. If the Sb had of reraised I think you would have got away from it but the luck was with SB who for some bizarre reason wanted to see a flop with QQ OOP on a raised flop.

it's fine, think of it as winning 46k rather than losing 12m!!

Congrats on getting so far, think you made the right move, and as said were unlucky that QQ didn't re-raise.

Out of 169 possible hands I can only think of three better.

JJ is very solid. You have a made hand. You did the right thing. Just one of those unlucky situations, but magnified.

wp Rob, you put them on weaker hands and frm your analysis so would everyone else so hard luck, wp. congrats on going deep.

also does ANYONE flat call here with queens or think of a reason why someone would?

Wp Rob and nothing wrong with the push, you cant really afford to see the flop here and with 100k in the middle makes it the correct play.

But you already mention that the 1st raiser was been very active, so I'm guessing this is the reason the sb played the QQ so slow and was trying to trap player 1, which was a ok play without you in the pot, but with the SB calling I might have been a bit more careful, but never putting him on QQ.

If you had taken the 100k in the middle it would have be the perfect move, so wp again.

So are you playing it again next year or going for the full 6 weeks instead?

lets be honest there is sfa else u could have done,IMO he could only call with a's, k's, Q's and possibly AKs as if he looses pot he is crippled.so 9 times out of 10 he folds and your stack has had a nice increase. Very unlucky to run into the q's,
Very very well played in the bigest tourney of any sport (??) in the world.
I have been reading over the last few days the excellent coverage by Tom , mike etc.
Well done to all the paddys.

Great tournament Rob. I guess you just got unlucky in the hand cause most players would have reraised with the queens which meant you would have dropped the jacks. you couldnt possibly put the sb on such a big hand and the squeeze play looked to be the perfect tool.
It must have been a fantastic experience. One I hope i'll get to experience one day.You and the rest of the travelling Irish should be justafiably proud of your performances, and seeing so many of ye going well gives us all a goal to reach for. Congrats again on your performance.
