2nd hand 360...

Thinking of getting one but the seller no longer has the reciepts... but from what i can tell that doesnt matter...

Checked out the microsoft website n it says that they only give a 90 day warranty with the 360... Is this true or did i read it wrong????

Pretty sure it is a year once it is registered with them (free). Mine was replaced after 7 months, no hassle and no recipt needed.

How did u go about replacing it??? Found that its 90 days in the us... Its a year in europe.. took me ages to find the warranty info

Phone them up and they send a box for you to send it back in. Then, they send you a new one.

yep, that is it! Just make sure you have the xbox registered via xbox.com.

what are the links needed to register the 360??? I got one at the weekend and would like to register asap

It just keeps rejecting the serial number.

Goto xbox.com

Sign in using your passport account (This should be linked to your live account)

Once you are signed in, goto the "My Xbox" menu on the right hand side, click on manage profile. Then in the new menu click on Console Registration.

Folllow the steps to register from there.
