Does anyone know of an add on speaker system available for the 360 that will offer true Surround Sound??

I know there're various add on speakers for the Ps2 and orginal XBOX, but am having trouble finding anything suitable for the 360...

    thanks

Any decent 5.1 system is what you need. Optical input and your set.

    I use a Creative 5.1 GD580 myself. :)

As I said, any 5.1 surround sound system that supports an optical (toslink) cable will work perfectly for the 360. :) Try dixons, peats, currys, and place that sells tv's and hifi stuff

Argos usually have some decent 5.1 systems going cheap. The Acoustic Solutions range are very resonable, just check that the system you go for is compliant with dolby digital output, and supports 5.1 surround sound via at least one optical digital connection.

The only other thing to look out for it that it is an 'active' system. Some of the cheaper speaker systems are just that, speaker systems!! The do not decode signals, just pass them on to the speakers. So make sure you system has a dolby decoder ect. in it, otherwise you will not be getting what you are looking for.

Well that obvious though, I did mention optical input, and dolby digital support are a must, and cant have them without a decoder!

Yeah I know, just thought I would add it, better safe then sorry.;)

I know when I was looking for a system a few years ago there could be some confusion with units saying dolby compatable, that did no have a decoder.

I'm looking at this Logitech system, is it good value for money. It looks like a good system to me, but I dont know much about speakers. Heres the official logitach page.
    Thanks for any help.

I got the ministry of sound one from argus for 300.

Its not a bad system, good sound from it. but the speakers are a little awkward to place around the room because of the shape of the stands.

Pioneer make a new system for the 360.

    HTS-GS1 5.1 Surround Sound System.

Pineer website: "The world’s first entertainment system that’s officially Licensed for XBox 360"

    Check it out - http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/pg/product/details/0,,2076_310069657_316743267,00.html

What could be better than a matching 5.1 system. Apparently it has the green light glow too.

    J3 :D
