i need 10 grand

ok so my girlfriends college will cost 10 grand this year... thats right, 10,000 euro. she is a non national, cinese to be precise. and before anyone insinuates, we have been together almost 4 years so she aint with me for anything other than love:p

anyway, i just need to know anyway of making that much money soon. i dont mind what it is as long as it isnt something that would take too long as obviously school starts soon and fees need to be paid.

any help would be apprecitaed. thanks.

dont you have a job? all u have to do is have a job for 1 year to get a large loan i got a 2500 loan and i was only working 4 hours 5 days a week for 6 months if u have a full tiem job for 6 months u will get a 10,000 loan no problem amnd if u can convice ur parents or someone u know who is rich they can even go gar-en-tor on the loan meaning if u **** up and dont pay they cover the loan so the bank are ven more likley to give u a loan with good interest rates

If you can do that - why go to college? Other option is get married and get her naturalised.

there is a simple way to get around this problem, listen good->

walk to to ulster bank(has to be this bank they give interest freeover drafts to students up to 2500notes) but get the loan if you really must. come home to your gfriend....dump her-> your up ten grand. its a maths thing really, money + gfiend = expensive sex.

Students from outside the EU pay higher fees - get a loan OP, the interest rate on something like that amount will be around 6.5 per cent which isn't too bad. And for the poster who asked how long they were together, the OP says it in his post.

haha if this thread has done anything it has made me laugh.

well to answer someof the quesions and comments...

1. we are together almost 4 years.

2. she already has a loan out from last year that she has 6 months left to pay off

3. she wouldnt be able to afford another loan on top of the one she has

4. i had to get the loan last time in my name and let her pay me while i was paying as she wouldnt get the 5 grand she needed last time

5. for some reason BOI are awfully slow at giving loans at 5 grand(about 2 04 3 weeks) so imagine how long a 10 grand loan would take

6. both her and i have jobs.

6. she earns at present about 300 a week(only a new job, last job was on average 200 a week).
with that she has to pay rent, bills, food, school supplies as well as other expenses. she doesnt have much if anything left over after that.



i have a few plansto make some money. if all else fails i might have to sell my car:(

An oz of charlie can turn 1 grand into 3 grand awful quick. Ether that or it can turn 1 grand into a coke habit at about the same rate. Then you'll have no choice but to pimp out your missus.

If YOU pay the college fees, and get the college to invoice YOU, rather than your girlfriend, and assuming that you are working full time while she is in college, and paying your taxes, you can claim a good whack of that 10 grand back, I think it is up around 20%.

Might take a while (you might have to wait til the next tax year) to claim the money back, but it would help pay off any bank loan fairly fast.

(Or spend it on a few Russian brides, send them all to college too, within a few years you'll have your very own highly educated little empire going...)

Seriously - the above is a good point. Quite a lot can be reclaimed in tax, although i know that doesn't solve your immediate problem of getting the 10k in the first place ...

presumably, family / friends wouldn't have any of it to spare? if you could get maybe half off it of them (even by issuing them loan-notes with interest attached), then the bank shouldn't have a prob ponying up the remaining 5k, as they did last year.
