Just thought i would share this with u's, might be the same with a lot of hotels.

Went to book MGM Vegas for 5 nights, rate quoted was $109.99 per night (plus tax). As im playing around with Priceline i went in today to book just three nights, same dates just minus the last two nights, and they are quoting $89.99 per night. Then i tried to ditch the first two nights and take just the last three night (all same dates by the way), and its $139.99 per night.

Makes no sense at all to me why they are doing this.....

Maybe I'm being daft, but it works out at the same cost, so why the issue?

Hotels have different pricing bands for midweek & weekend stays - if you cross between the two & depending on the res system, it will give you an average rate per night for the stay or highlight the price variations.

yeah, where I live hotels are more expensive during the week and they have cheap deals at the weekend. If I lived somewhere nice then people would want to be here at the weekend, but they don't...

most hotels have differing weekday and weekend rates. They just averaged it out for you. No biggie

Hotels usually have higher rates midweek as the majority of business travellers are staying in hotels from Sunday to Thursday nights.
