Voice recording on Creative Muvo's

My muvo is at home and so can't try it out to naswer my own question. How good is the voice recorder on the Creative Muvos. Could one sit in the front row of a lecture hall/theatre and record a lecture or is it just good for close-up recording? Thanks in advance for an answer!
